Midi beds are generally smaller than high sleepers and also have a shorter ladder or staircase. They are therefore perfect for smaller rooms. They are made up of a single UK mattress and add a variety of useful components beneath. From a smartly designed desk that can be turned into a cupboard to hold totes, to elegant drawers that move with a smooth no-wobble movement.
Many of our midi cabin beds are offered in a variety of finishes, so you can select the one that will suit your child's room best. Some even include the option of a custom-made storage units. This includes a desk that is able to move between the two on wheels, four drawers for storage and two cupboards with doors all included. The Eli F takes it to the next level by having doors that match the color of the foot and headboards.
The Luna low-line loft bed, also known as a midi-storage bed is compact, and includes everything you require. A ladder that is able to be rotated and a desk with wheels that slide in and out and three drawer cabinets and a chest are all included. This midi loft that is compact and has storage has everything your kiddo needs the desk can slide in and out on wheels, there are three drawers where they can store their trinkets or toys, and a big cabinet to store their books in.
Some midi loft beds that have storage come with a desk already integrated into the bunk (as shown in the image above), while others like our Luna midi bunk come with a ladder positioned on the right side, so that the desk can be positioned to the left (please inquire in the store, on the phone or put this in the comments section when you're looking around for this if it is important to you).
It's important to note that many midi loft beds that have desks require the standard UK single mattress (3ft/90x190cm) with an slatted wooden base. The price of the bed doesn't include the mattress. We suggest checking our mattress deals to find one that fits your budget.

It has a low level staircase with the option for it to be turned into a desk that slides across the floor on wheels, two large drawers and a cabinet with doors all included. Mattress
Most midi beds are fitted with standard UK single mattresses and the top bunk is equipped with a safety rail for extra peace of mind. Some models come with an amazing pull-out trundle drawer for sleepovers or more storage space below the bed. They can be open or equipped with doors (please check the product's specifications for more details).
A lot of midi cabins have a desk which can be moved between two upper levels or chests of drawers. This provides children with a unique space for all their belongings and means there's no need to use precious floor space with bulky wardrobes or shelving units.
Some models have gone a step further with cabinets that are flush mounted or even part of the headboard/footboard. This is great for storing books and toys.
